Safety switch
The appliance is equipped with a safety
switch. Any attempt to remove the shaving
head will cause the appliance to switch off
automatically in order to prevent personal
injury or damage to the appliance.
Batteries
This appliance requires two batteries of type
LR14 / 1.5 V (size C); the use of alkaline
batteries is preferable, as they are longer-
lasting than the standard carbon-zinc
batteries. The batteries are inserted as
follows:
- Slide the battery compartment cover in
the direction indicated by the arrow and
take it off.
- Insert the batteries according to the
schematic
compartment, ensuring correct polarity
(+/-).
- Replace the compartment cover and
slide it back until it is heard locking into
place.
●
When the lint chamber is empty, a
significant decrease in operating speed is
a clear indication that the batteries are
exhausted, and that they should be
replaced.
Operation
- Place the item to be treated on a level
surface.
- Remove the protective cover from the
head. For coarser wool surfaces, the use
of the spacer ring is recommended.
- Use the On-/Off switch to turn the
appliance on. The shaving blades inside
the shaving head start rotating. When
they come into contact with the surface
of the area to be treated, a distinct noise
can be heard. This is normal.
- Guide the shaving head gently and
without exerting any pressure over the
fabric to be treated. Lint and fuzz balls
are removed and collected in the lint
chamber.
