The ideal material for microwave cookware is permeable for
microwaves and allows the energy to penetrate the container
and warm up the food.
Please observe the following tips when selecting the correct
cookware:
► Microwaves cannot penetrate metal. Therefore, you should
not use utensils made of metal or cookware with metal trim.
► For microwave cooking, do not use any products made from
recycled paper, as they could contain tiny metal fragments,
which could cause sparks and/or result in fire.
► Use round or oval instead of square or rectangular
cookware, as otherwise the food could tend to overheat in
the corners.
► You can use narrow strips of aluminium foil to protect
sensitive areas against excessive heating. But do not use
too much foil and maintain a distance of approx 2.5 cm
between the foil and the walls of the cooking chamber.
► Do not use any aluminium foil when using the microwave or
combinations with the microwave (see following table).
