pia hotline.
Diagnosis & Cause
Is the power plug connected
properly in the power socket?
Is the On/Off switch set to
OFF?
Is the AUTO function activated?
Has the device been assembled
properly?
Does the motor fail to start
when paper is inserted?
Was the device shutdown for a
longer time? Is the surface of
the device warm? The permis-
sible operating cycle has
probably been exceeded.
Internal sensor is covered by
residual paper or is soiled.
Too much paper or excessively
creased paper has been in-
serted.
Have you exceeded the per-
missible material
capacity (refer to Chapter
"Technical Data")? Has the ma-
terial been fed in askew?
Solution
Connect the power plug to the
power socket properly.
Set the On/Off switch to its ON
position.
Set the operating switch to its
AUTO setting.
Ensure that the waste bin has
been inserted properly.
Slide the paper in the respec-
tive infeed slot so that it makes
contact with the sensor in the
middle.
Wait until the MOTOR lamp
goes out. This can take up to 30
minutes. For information on the
operating cycle, refer to Chap-
ter "Technical Data".
Set the function switch to the
REV setting so that the cutting
mechanism runs in reverse and
releases the material.
Reduce the quantity of paper
being fed in and try again.
Wait for the automatic material
jam clearance process to finish,
refer to Chapter "Clearing Mate-
rial Jams".
