Maintenance and Care
1. Clean the unit with a moist cloth or absorbent tissue.
2. Do not allow liquids of any kind to enter the machine when cleaning the
unit.
3. Regularly clean dust, debris and old grease off the tool chuck.
4. If the dust protection cap (1) on the front of the tool
chuck (2) is damaged, please replace it. To replace
the dust protection cap, please pull back the plastic
ring of the tool chuck and then pull off the dust
protection cap.
5. After longer periods of non-use or when starting the
machine up in sub-freezing temperatures, allow the
machine to run without load for a few minutes to
distribute the lubricant within the machine.
6. Inspect the grease filling of the transmission in regular intervals. Use the
face spanner (9) to remove the grease chamber cap (3) and add grease, if
necessary. After that, replace the cap (3).
7. If it is necessary to open the housing for further maintenance and repair
work, please have it done by a qualified professional or contact the West-
falia customer service.
