5.1
Switch-on

To avoid the formation of condensation, allow the
DCU 130 to adjust to ambient temperature before
switching on the DCU 130.
1. Switch on the DCU 130 with the
seconds.
i
The start screen is always displayed after switch-on.
The applications displayed can be selected on the
start screen.
2. Touch the required application with the pen.
CAUTION – risk of injury due to triggering
of the airbag with an engaged DCU 130!
Injuries due to unintentional triggering of the
airbag when attaching (e.g. engaging) the
DCU 130 to the steering wheel.

Do not secure the DCU 130 to the steering
wheel.
5.2
Switch-off

Press the
key for 2 - 4 seconds to prevent
DCU 130 from unintentionally switching off.

5.5
Battery operation
The DCU 130 has two batteries as an alternative source
of power for the DCU 130.

It is possible to change one battery during operation.
The power supply unit must be connected if both
batteries are to be replaced.

The batteries are charged automatically during mains
operation.
The two fully charged batteries of the DCU 130 are
designed as back-up batteries to guarantee approx.
3 hours of independent operation.

A warning window appears if the battery charge is
less than 15 %. The power supply unit is then to be
connected to enable the batteries to be re-charged.

The battery charge can be determined at any time
using the "Battery Information and Diagnosis Tool.
Further information can be found in Section 6.1.1.
5.6
Touch screen with pen
The touch screen of the DCU 130 is operated with a
pen which basically has the same functions as a mouse.

A single click with the left mouse key corresponds to
a single touch of the pen on an icon for example, or
positioning of the cursor on an input box.

A double click with the left mouse key corresponds
to touching the touch screen twice with the pen.
This is used to start an application program for
example.
