Loop impedance and RCD test functions have the following
features:
Voltage level
In loop impedance mode, the supply
voltage is displayed when the instrument
is connected to the supply until the test
button is pressed.
Wiring check
LEDs indicate if the wiring of the circuit
under test is correct
Phase angle selector RCDs can be tested with either a positive or
negative half-cycle of voltage to determine
maximum and minimum trip times.
Low battery warning The "
the battery voltage drops below 8V.
Auto power off
Switches the instrument off automatically
if not used for approximately 1 minute.
Auto data hold
Holds the displayed reading for a short
time after the test is complete.
V-NE Monitoring
Automatically inhibits measurements
when the N-E voltage rises to 50V or
greater on RCD test ranges.
Over temperature protection Detects overheat of internal
components. A warning symbol " " is displayed and
further measurements are automatically
inhibited until the internal components
have cooled down.
The instrument is designed to comply with IEC 1010-1/BS EN
61010-1, CAT III, 300V, Pollution Degree 2
Insulation resistance testing mode provides a rated current of
1 mA, as required in IEC 61557-2 and EN 61557-2 1997.
Continuity testing mode provides a short-circuit current of
200mA, as required in IEC 61557-2 and EN 61557-2 1997.
