5.2 Storage
Store the product in a dry, enclosed room with sufficient air circulation and protection from
external influences. Maintain an ambient temperature from 0° C to +40 °C [+32 °F to +104 °F]
and relative humidity of 10% to 85%.

6 Preparation for use

INFORMATION
► The procedures described in this section may only be carried out by appropriately trained
qualified personnel.
► These instructions for use must be given to the user along with the product.
INFORMATION
► The seat cushion must be set up by qualified personnel before delivery.
► Before handing over to the user or attendant, perform sufficient seat tests under medical
supervision. Have the seat cushion tested by the user as needed.
6.1 Setting Up
1) Open and unfold the cover.
2) Insert the foam base into the cover with the zip running along the rear and side edges (see
fig. 5).
3) Bring the top of the cover with the sewn-in LiquiCell
the foam base (see fig. 6).
4) Close the cover.
5) Ensure the cover fits well and there are no large folds or wrinkles on the top surface (see
fig. 10).
6) Position the seat cushion in the wheelchair (see Page 17).

7.1 Positioning
CAUTION
Damage to the product, unexpected noise or odours
Health problems for the user due to improper handling
► Stop using the product immediately in the event of defects or other hazards that can result in
personal injury, or if there are noises or smells that greatly differ from the delivered condition
of the product.
► Please contact your authorised dealer.
► Report damage to the product that may cause health problems for the user to Ottobock.

Place the seat cushion in the middle of the seat so that there is sufficient space on all sides

for the wheels and frame.
► Optimum pressure redistribution is ensured when the leg support of the wheelchair is adjus­
ted so that the thigh of the user completely rests on the seat cushion.
► Regularly remove dust and dirt particles from the hook-and-loop strap at the bottom so that
the seat cushion remains firmly in place.
Correct positioning of the seat cushion in the wheelchair must be maintained for daily use:
• The label that says "REAR" points towards the back support.
