4. After connecting the appliance to the electrical socket, press the ON/OFF button. The water heating
lamp and blue light inside the kettle will light up (fig. 4).
Note: If the ON/OFF button is for some reason blocked, the kettle will not switch off itself!
5. 1 cup of water (250 ml) is boiled within about 40 seconds, hot water is poured from the nozzle (fig. 6) and
the kettle is switched off automatically (fig. 5). Make sure no more water is poured from the nozzle before
removing the cup.
Note: Do not touch the hot water pouring from the nozzle, risk of scalding.
6. To boil another cup, just press the ON/OFF button again, which turns on the kettle.
7. Always unplug the cord from the socket after you are finished using the kettle.
Protection against heating without water
If you turn on the kettle without water by mistake, the protection against heating without water automatically
turns off the appliance. In this case, allow the kettle to cool before using and pouring water into the container.

Emptying the kettle
1. Always unplug the cord from the socket and allow the appliance to cool.
2. Open the lid via the open lid button, hold the kettle askew over a sink, then turn upside down and finally

turn to its right side. Repeat these steps until all water is removed from the appliance.
Cleaning
1. Always unplug the cord from the socket and allow the appliance to cool before cleaning.
2. Wipe the outer surface of the appliance with a damp cloth and then wipe dry (Do not use chemicals, steel
wool or abrasive cleaners. This could cause damage to the surface).
