At the end of the work, and before carrying out any type of
maintenance, perform the following operations:
1. Switch off the appliance by positioning the main switch (1) to "0"
(Fig.1).
2. Unplug the power supply cable from the mains socket.
ATTENTION: do not grasp the plug with wet hands.
ATTENTION: To prevent damaging the power cable,
disconnect the plug from the mains socket by directly pulling
the plug and not the cable.

ATTENTION: turn the locking lever (5) to free the front casing.

Turn the dust bag locking lever (6) (Fig.5).
7. Remove the dust bag (7) fro the appliance (Fig.6).
ATTENTION: if the dust bag is paper, replace it if full. While if
the dust bag is fabric, empty it.
ATTENTION: the fabric bag can be used several times,
depending on its integrity and the integrity of the cardboard
support. Use a jet of air to clean the paper bag, stand at least
20cm from the bag when cleaning with the air jet.

ATTENTION: the vacuum motor air outlet filter can be used
multiple times, depending on its integrity and degree of dirt
that has accumulated. Use a jet of air to clean the filter, stand
at least 20cm from the bag when cleaning with the air jet.
ATTENTION: if the filter is too worn or clogged replace it.
10. Remove the brush cover casing (10), turn the retainer knobs (11)
in the direction indicated by the arrows (Fig.9).

3. Wind the power cable around the lower (2) (Fig.2) and upper (3)
support (Fig.3).
4. Recline the appliance by pulling the handle towards you and take
the appliance to the place where it is maintained.
ATTENTION: You are advised to always wear protective
gloves, to avoid the risk of serious injury to your hands.
ATTENTION: The place this operation is carried out should
comply with current environmental protection regulations.
5. Remove the front casing (4) of the appliance (Fig.4).

8. Remove the vacuum motor air inlet filter (8) from the appliance
(Fig.7).
ATTENTION: the vacuum motor air inlet filter can be used

at least 20cm from the bag when cleaning with the air jet.
ATTENTION: if the filter is too worn or clogged replace it.
9. Remove the vacuum motor air outlet filter (9) from the appliance
(Fig.8).

ATTENTION: for UP46 versions, remove the screw (12) also
(Fig.10).
11. Remove the brush (13), making sure to also remove left support
and right support (Fig.11).
ATTENTION: before completely removing the brush (13),
disengage the drive belt (14) from the right support (Fig.12).
12. Using a knife or scissors, remove impurities present (e.g. hair,
fibres, threads, etc.).
