BOX STITCHING (I) - Use this stitch to join heavy
weight interlining. Overlap two raw edges together
and use this stitch to join them.
TRIPLE STRAIGHT (A,B – remember to change dial to SS) – used for
strengthen stitches. The stitch is sewn with two stitches forward and one
stitch backward forming a seam that does not rip easily.
TRIPLE ZIGZAG (C – remember to change dial to SS) strong, elastic stitch, can
be used for sewing denim, leather etc.
TRICOT (D – remember to change dial to SS) - can be used for gathering,
decorative sewing, overedging.

SHIRRING

With the stitch length ''4", sew straight stitching;
lines 3/8 apart across the area to be shirred.
Knot the threads along one edge, pull the bobbin
threads and distribute the gathers evenly. Secure
the thread at the other end.
Sew the decorative stitch between the gathering
stitches. Pull out the gathering stitches.
NOTE: Loosen the top thread tension to make gathering easier.
OVERLOCK (E,F,G,H,I – remember to change dial to SS)
Position the fabric against the guide plate of the overcasting foot that
the needle falls near the edge of the fabric.
A. Overcasting stitches (width 5.0 - 7.0) are used for preventing raveling of fabrics.
B. Some stitches can sew overcasting and regular stitches at the same time.
Therefore, it is convenient for sewing easy to ravel and stretch fabrics.
SCALLOP STITCH (J,K,L) - these stitches are used to sew a decorative
edge on garments and table cloths.
