BATTERY OPERATION

Open the battery compartment at
the back of the unit (20). Insert
three LR20 (D dimension) size
batteries (not supplied) with cor-
rect polarity (+/-) as indicated,
then close the battery compart-
ment. The unit is ready to ope-
rate.
USE EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY
Use AC power (19), connect power lead to one end of the radio, then insert it into 220V AC power socket.
When AC power supply is used, battery supply feed will be disconnected automatically inside the ma-
chine.
Prompts:
Low voltage, obscure display or small and distorted sound indicates low battery, please replace the
battery in time.
Do not use old and new batteries or different types of batteries together.
Do not charge, heat or decompose dry batteries to avoid leakage of electrolyte solution or explosion.
If the UM-D battery is not used for power supply for a long time, remove the battery to avoid battery lea
age which corrodes internal components.
When pulling out power cable from 220V AC power socket, please grab the battery plug (plastic part)
Instead of pulling the wire.
Do not touch power cable with wet hand to avoid electric shock.
On / Standby Mode
Press (1) power button to power on. Press the button repeatedly to switch between standby mode and
working (ON) mode.
