Operation

Insert a battery into the battery compartment as described in
chapter "Inserting / replacing the battery".
Insert the temperature sensor plug (D) into socket (C) observing
correct polarity. The polarity is printed on the device, above the
connection socket and on the plug of the temperature sensor.
The wide plug pin must be on the right-hand side. Please do not
apply any force when inserting the plug!
The enclosed temperature sensor "TP-01" is suitable for many
applications. Due to its small dimensions, it can provide a very
rapid measuring result of up to 250 °C (short-term up to 300 °C).
For measuring higher temperatures, you can use other
standardised sensors of the K type. These are available as an
option.
Now switch on the device by pushing the slide switch (F) to the
"ON" position.
Now the measured temperature will be shown on the LC display
(B) in real time.
After measuring, switch off the device (switch in "OFF" position).
Please note!
When replacing the sensor or inserting it, one should wait for
several minutes before starting with the measurement. This
ensures the thermal adaptation of all components to the same
environmental temperature and will enable you to obtain the
maximum measuring accuracy.
When making comparative measurements with other sensors
observe that the quoted accuracy of the display only refers to this
the device.
