Installation Overview The DSBK-170 Analog Component Input/Output Board is an optional board for the DSR-70/70P Sony Digital Videocassette Recorder. Installing this board in a DSR-70/70P gives the VCR the capability of being connected to a Betacam SP Videocassette Recorder to carry out editing or dubbing. -

Installation Caution If this option is installed incorrectly, personal injury or damage to peripheral items may occur due to fire, shock, or other accidental circumstances. To avoid such risks, installation should be performed by qualified service personnel. Preparations Before installing the board into the VCR, first connect the two harnesses to the connector panel. -

Installation Fitting Procedure Remove the DSR-70/70P battery panel (four screws), bottom pannel (four screws) and cover plate (two screws). Follow the steps shown in the figure to remove the bottom panel (because there are switch and knob on the front panel). - Seite 17 Insert the connector panel and its attached harnesses into the hole left by the cover plate. Pull the long harness through the board slot space and out through the top, and the short harness out through the bottom. Secure the connector panel using the screws removed from the cover plate in step 1.
- Seite 18 Installation Notes • When winding the harness around the cable holders, do not pull it tight. Loop it loosely through the cable holders. • Make sure that the harness does not pass over or under any board levers. Lift the levers on the board (DEN-11) in the second slot from the rear of the DSR-70/70P.
- Seite 19 Holding the levers on both sides of the DEN-11 board, slowly slide it into place. When the board is inserted until the levers are aligned with the board retaining rail, lower the levers slightly to seat the board firmly, then lower the levers to be flush with the edge of the board.
- Seite 20 Installation Note When lowering the levers, one or both of them may not properly seat inside the DSR-70/70P case. If a lever is positioned as shown in the right side of the figure below, the DSR-70/70P battery panel will not close. Before attempting to replace the battery panel, check to make sure that the levers are properly seated under the board retaining rail, fully inside the DSR-70/70P case.

Connect the other harness to the board (DDE-13) attached to the bottom of the DSR-70/70P. Replace the DSR-70/70P battery panel and bottom panel, and secure them using the screws. Note Before replacing the battery panel, make sure again that the harness is not over any board levers. Aperçu La carte d’entrée/sortie analogique à composantes DSBK-170 est une carte en option destinée au magnétoscope numérique DSR-70/70P. Kurzbeschreibung Die Analog Component Input/Output Board DSBK-170 ist eine optionale Leiterplatte für den digitalen Videorecorder DSR-70P von Sony. Bei Installation dieser Leiterplatte läßt sich der DSR-70P an einen Betacam SP-Videorecorder für Schnitt- und Überspielbetrieb zusammenschließen. Installation Einbauverfahren Entfernen Sie das Akkufeld (vier Schrauben), die untere Abdeckung (vier Schrauben) und die Abdeckung (zwei Schrauben) des DSR-70P. Befolgen Sie die in der Abbildung gezeigten Schritte und entfernen Sie die untere Abdeckung (wegen der Funktionselemente an der Frontplatte). Hinweis Achten Sie darauf, die Abdeckung und Schrauben nicht zu verlieren. - Seite 35 Setzen Sie das Anschlußfeld mit dem angeschlossenen Kabelbäum durch die freie Öffnung der Abdeckung ein. Ziehen Sie den langen Kabelbaum einzeln durch den Einsteckschlitz des DSR-70P und nach oben und den kurzen kabelbaum durch die unterseite. Sichern Sie das Anschlußfeld mit den in Schritt 1 gelösten Schrauben.
- Seite 36 Installation Hinweise • Beim Wickeln des Kabelbaums durch die Kabelhalter diesen nicht zu straff ziehen. Wie gezeigt locker wickeln. • Sicherstellen, daß der Kabelbaum nicht die Leiterplatten- Verriegelungshebel behindert. Drücken Sie die Hebel der Leiterplatte (DEN-11) im zweiten Steckschlitz von der Rückseite des DSR-70P betrachtet nach oben.
- Seite 37 Halten Sie die Leiterplatte DEN-11 an beiden Seiten und schieben Sie sie vorsichtig ein. Wenn die Verriegelungshebel mit der Schiene ausgerichtet sind, drücken Sie sie leicht nach unten, so daß die Leiterplatte korrekt sitzt, und drücken Sie die Hebel anschließend bis zum Anschlag, so daß Sie mit der Leiterplatte fluchten.

Presentazione La scheda di ingresso/uscita segnali componenti analogici DSBK-170 è una scheda opzionale per il videoregistratore per videocassette digitali DSR-70P Sony. L’installazione di questa scheda in un DSR-70P consente al videoregistratore di poter essere collegato ad un videoregistratore per videocassette Betacam SP per eseguire il montaggio o la duplicazione. -

Installazione Installazione Attenzione Se questa scheda non viene installata correttamente, ne possono risultare lesioni alle persone o danni alle periferiche dovuti a incendi, scosse o altre cause accidentali. Per evitare tali rischi l’installazione deve essere eseguita da personale tecnico qualificato. Preparativi Prima di installare la scheda nel videoregistratore, collegare innanzitutto i due cablaggi al pannello connettori. -

Procedimento per l’installazione Rimuovere il pannello batteria (quattro viti), il pannello inferiore (quattro viti) e la piastra di copertura (due viti) del DSR-70P. Seguire i punti mostrati nella figura per rimuovere il pannello inferiore (perché sul pannello anteriore sono presenti un interruttore e un comando). Nota Fare attenzione a non perdere la piastra di copertura o le viti. - Seite 44 Installazione Inserire il pannello connettori con i cablaggi collegati nel foro rimasto esposto in seguito alla rimozione della piastra di copertura. Tirare il cablaggio lungo attraverso lo spazio delle fessure per le schede in fuori attraverso la parte superiore, e il cablaggio corto in fuori attraverso il fondo. Fissare il pannello connettori con le viti rimosse dalla piastra di copertura al punto 1.
- Seite 45 Note • Quando si inserisce il cablaggio nei fermacavi, non tirarlo eccessivamente. Inserirlo nei fermacavi lasciando un po’ di gioco come mostrato nella figura. • Fare attenzione a non far passare il cablaggio sopra o sotto le levette della scheda. Alzare le levette della scheda (DEN-11) nella seconda fessura dal retro del DSR-70P.
- Seite 46 Installazione Reggendo la scheda DEN-11 per le levette su entrambi i lati, far scorrere la scheda lentamente in posizione. Quando la scheda è inserita fino al punto in cui le levette sono allineate con la guida di sostegno scheda, abbassare delicatamente le levette in modo da alloggiare la scheda saldamente, quindi abbassare le levette in modo da incassarvi il bordo della scheda.
- Seite 47 Nota Quando si abbassano le levette, una di esse o entrambe potrebbero non rientrare saldamente all’interno del rivestimento del DSR-70P. Se una levetta si trova come mostrato sul lato destro della figura sottostante, il pannello batteria del DSR-70P non si chiude.

Installazione Collegare l’altro cablaggio alla scheda (DDE-13) applicata al fondo del DSR-70P. Rimettere a posto il pannello batteria e il pannello inferiore del DSR-70P e fissarli con le viti. Nota Prima di rimettere a posto il pannello batteria, controllare di nuovo che il cablaggio non si trovi sopra le levette delle schede.
