It is possible to select between two digital sound signal transmissions in order
to obtain improved sound quality with 5.1/DTS.
NOTE:
•
5.1 surround sound playback is only possible via the digital output
(OPTICAL/COAXIAL).
•
Please ensure the correct setting in the „Audio" setup menu.
Optical
Connect an optical cable for transmitting the digital audio signal with your
playback device or amplifi er.
1. Insert the optical plug into the socket on the rear of the device.
2. Insert the optical plug into the corresponding socket of your playback
device or amplifi er.
Digital
Connect the Coaxial cable for transmission of digital Audio signals to your
playback device or your amplifi er.
1. Plug the Audio jack into the socket on the back of the player.
2. Plug the Audio jack into the corresponding socket on your playback device
or your amplifi er.
AUX 1 (L IN / R IN)
For connecting analogue playback devices. Via these sockets you can hear
the sound of other playback devices, such as MP3 players, computers etc.
through the loudspeakers. Use a corresponding adapter cable if necessary.
1. Insert the audio plugs into the sockets on the rear of the device.
2. Insert the audio plugs into the corresponding sockets of your playback
device.
3. For further information please see the operating instructions of the external
sound source.
AUX 2 INPUT (SCART)
You can also use the SCART socket as an audio output. Use a correspon-
ding adapter cable if necessary.
If your TV set has a fully wired SCART socket, you can hear the sound of
the current programme through the loudspeakers. For this it is necessary
to use a fully wired SCART cable (21-pole).
