Also, placing the sensor on metal objects will reduce its transmission range.
Maximum range of the wireless sensor is 30 m in an open area. The range depends on local conditions
and the construction materials of buildings. Transmission is also affected by interferences in the area. If
there is no reception, try to restore the function using the RESET button on the thermometer.
If there is interference to radio or television reception caused by transmission of the device, this can be
removed by one of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the antenna
• Increase the distance between the device and the receiver
• Consult with your dealer or an authorized service
The influence of ambient radio interference may result in poor data display. In this case, it is necessary
to reset the device.
Radio controlled clock (DCF77)
After registration, the thermometer with the sensor automatically starts searching for DCF77 signal
for a period of 7 minutes.
During the search, the
icon flashes, no other data on the display is updated and buttons are disabled
(except SNZ/LIGHT).
If no signal is detected, the icon disappears.
If signal is detected, the icon stops flashing and the current time is displayed.
DCF signal will be synchronised daily between 2:00 and 3:00 am.
For proper reception, do not place the sensor near electrical appliances and mobile phones.
To repeat search for the DCF77 signal, press and hold the DOWN button.
Press and hold DOWN again to stop the DCF77 signal search.
The radio controlled clock provides the most accurate time on the European continent. The radio signal
propagates via radio waves (77.5 kHz) from a site near Frankfurt in Germany within a range of 1500 km.
This radio time signal automatically takes account of summer (DST) and winter time (on the display the
DST icon will be displayed), leap years and date changes. In normal conditions (at a safe distance
from sources of interference, such as television sets or computer monitors) the capture of time signal
takes several minutes. If the sensor does not detect the signal, follow these steps:
1. Move the thermometer to another location and try to detect the DCF signal again.
2. Make sure the distance of the thermometer from sources of interference, such as computer monitors
or television sets, is at least 1.5 to 2 meters when receiving this signal. When receiving DCF signal, do
not put the thermometer to the proximity of metal doors, window frames and other metal structures
or objects (washing machines, dryers, refrigerators etc.).
3. In reinforced concrete structures (cellars, high-rise buildings etc.), the DCF signal reception is weaker,
depending on the conditions. In extreme cases, place the thermometer close to a window toward
the transmitter.
Reception of the DCF 77 radio signal is affected by the following factors:
- thick walls and insulation, basements and cellars
- inadequate local geographical conditions (these are difficult to assess in advance
- atmospheric disturbances, thunderstorms, electrical appliances with no interference elimination,
television sets and computers located near the DCF receiver.
Indoor and outdoor temperatures, unit of temperature
Indoor temperature is displayed on the display at the top (in).
Outdoor temperature from the sensors connected is displayed on the display below the indoor tem-
perature (OUT CH1, CH2, CH3).
Press the °C/°F button on the back side of the thermometer to change the displayed units to the
temperature °C/°F .
Display of the maximum/minimum temperature readings
Press repeatedly the MAX/MIN button to display the maximum and minimum readings of the indoor
and outdoor temperatures.
To delete a value, press and hold the UP button.
