BATTERY CHARGER _________________________________________________________________ FAST CHARGE
NOTA BENE:
At any moment it is possible to stop the battery charging by pressing the key
STOP.
In this case the message DISCONNECT BATTERY CABLES will be
displayed, accompanied by an intermittent acoustic signal.
The battery charger automatically goes to the BUFFER CHARGING phase
(see chapter 9.0), once the battery has been completely recharged an
acoustic signal is emitted.
The message END OF CHARGE PRESS STOP is displayed.
• Press the key STOP before disconnecting the clips.
3.1 - Automatic tests during the fast charge phase
The instrument will automatically carry out the following tests during the
FAST CHARGE phase:
SHORT CIRCUIT - Battery charging will be immediately interrupted if

there is a short circuit. The operator will be warned of this by an
intermittent beep, while the SHORT CIRCUIT PRESS STOP message
will appear on the display.
BATTERY NOT CHARGEABLE - If the battery is seriously damaged, the

instrument will indicate BATTERY NOT CHARGEABLE accompanied by
an intermittent sound.
CLAMP DETACHMENT - Delivery will be immediately interrupted if the

clamps detach from the battery. This will prevent accidental contacts or
sparks. The operator is warned by an intermittent sound and the
STOP CHARGING PRESS STOP message will appear on the display.
HIGH VOLTAGE CHECK - The voltage delivered by the battery charger is
4.
continuously monitored. This voltage must not exceed the maximum
preset limit of 15 V. If the voltage exceeds this value by even only one
volt, the operator will be warned by an intermittent sound and by the
HIGH VOLTAGE display message.
