OPERATING PRINCIPLE

The machine is made up of 7 sections:
- Suction section;
- filter section;
- electric section;
- pneumatic section;
- display section
- auto-start sockets section
- multiporpouse sockets section
Suction section
It comprises a pump and a side channel with a high output. The pump
is fitted with a safety valve to limit the vacuum and with a temperatu-
re sensor that enables to stop the turbine in case of anomalies or faults.
Filtering section
It comprises a single filter supplied in several lengths 3 m2 in polye-
ster and with a class M resistance, in compliance with standard
EN 60335-2-69/A2, which is maintained in good working order by
back flushing system with revolving nozzles (25). The dust particles
which fall from the filter drop into a stainless steel container (28) con-
taining a strong plastic bag which facilitates the correct disposal of
the dust. The seal between the filter housings and the dust container
is ensured by a pneumatic opening/closing system connected to the
dust container door (13).
Electric section
An electronic command and control panel (29) with separated com-
ponents and suitably oversized, manages all the functions of the tur-
bine, from automatic remote start-up with delayed shut-down to pe-
riodic filter cleaning. All the electrical parts are protected by automa-
tic thermo-magnetic switches and fuses.
Pneumatic section
Consists of a compressed air control filter (4) connected to a pressu-
re gauge (5) and an electro-valve (26) which controls the filter clea-
ning and a pneumatic valve (27) which guarantees the closure of the
dust container.
Auto-start soket section
Two front doors are available to access to the storage places inside;
in each storage place there are 1 electric socket and 1 air quick co-
upling with auto-start sensor for tools, 1 vacuum nozzle and 1 tool
support; tool hose can also be stored in.
Multiporpouse sockets section
2 electric sockets, 1 standard air quick coupling and 1 regulated air
quick coupling are available on unit's front panel; those sockets and
quick coupling are to be used for general porpoise and are not con-
nected to the vacuum autostart device.
Display section
RUPES turbines have a user interface with display that enables ope-
rators to view parameters, diagnostic messages and operating condi-
tions. By pressing several times button "DISPLAY MENU" , it is pos-
sible to display in sequence the following information:
• Hours of operation of the pump
• Hours of usage of the filter
• Recommendations regarding the correct operation, usage and
maintenance of the turbine The display automatically shows messa-
ges related to maintenance, operating conditions and alarms.

INSTALLATION

Warning!
The machine must be installed and started for the first time by
qualified personnel!
Turbine positioning (Fig. 4)
- The machine must be positioned on a solid and level surface at the
distances indicated in (Fig. 4), generally installed on the same or lo-
wer work surface.
- Avoid installing the turbine higher than the work surface.
- The turbine vents (16) must be kept clean and unclogged.
- Level the turbine using the adjustment feet (Fig. 5).
- After adjustments, tighten the lock nuts.
- Fix the unit to the wall with the dedicated hanger; the distance from
the wall must be at least 15cm;
- The exhaust (1) can be connected with the exterior.
START-UP
Minimum power supply requisites and connections:
Electrical power supply connections:
- Three phase voltage 400 V - 50 Hz (230 V - 60 Hz); with a suitably
dimensioned grounding wire;
- a circuit breaker must be installed upstream from the power line ac-
cording to the instructions provided for each turbine.
Compressed air system requirements:
- The mains must supply dehumidified and filtered air at max pressu-
re not over 10 bar;
Connection to the electrical mains
After making sure the main switch (Fig. 6) is off:
Version 400 V - 50 Hz
- connect turbine cord 5 x 2.5 mm2 (Fig. 6) to an electrical box with
a circuit breaker (16 Amp.) and line light (Fig. 6 C).
Version 230 V - 60 Hz
- connect the turbine cord 4 x 2.5 mm2 (Fig. 6) to an electrical box
with a circuit breaker (32 Amp.) and line light (Fig. 6 C).
Ensuring grounding wire connections is very important.
N.B.: Electrical connections materials are not standardly supplied and
must be provided by the general electric system installation techni-
cian.
These operations must be performed by a qualified electrician (ac-
cording to regulation CEI 64-8 in accordance with legal decree 46-90).
Connecting to the compressed air system
The compressed air supply line (Ø 3/8") must be regulated through
knob (4A) to a maximum pressure of 6 bar (see pressure gauge 5).
Carry out the adjustment and lock knob (4A) by pushing it as far as it
will go.
IMPORTANT: Only filtered dry air must be used.
This operation must be carried out by suitably qualified personnel.
