Verfügbare Sprachen

Many problems have a simple cause and a correspon-
dingly simple solution. The following section describes a
few difficulties you may encounter, and the measures
you need to take to cure them.
If you find it impossible to solve a problem with the help
of these notes please disconnect the unit from the mains
and ask your authorised 
ce.
Problem:
Machine does not switch on (green
LED does not light up).
Mains lead not plugged in correctly.
Cause:
Remedy:
Check connections, push plugs in firmly.
Problem:
The unit responds correctly when the
buttons are pressed, but cannot be
remote-controlled.
Batteries in the remote control unit inser-
Cause 1:
ted incorrectly or discharged.
Replace batteries, ensure they are inser-
Remedy:
ted correctly.
Infra red sensor connected incorrectly, or
Cause 2:
plug not pushed into the unit's RC socket
fully.
Remedy:
Complete the connections as shown in
the wiring diagram; push the plug in firmly.
Cause 3:
The CD player's RC IN socket is not con-
nected to the amplifier's RC OUT CD
socket.
Check that the units are connected cor-
Remedy:
rectly. Push all plugs in firmly.
The remote control transmitter has no

direct line-of-sight with the 'R' series pre-
amplifier or integrated amplifier.
Make sure that the remote control trans-

mitter has direct line-of-sight contact with
the receiver - note that glass doors can
interrupt the connection.
Maximum range between transmitter and
receiver: approx. 8 metres.
Be sure to position the receiver where it is
not subjected to direct sunlight or very
bright artificial light. Fluorescent tubes and
energy-saving lamps are powerful sources
of interference.
Cause 5:
The amplifier is not set for CD operation,
i. e. the commands from the remote
control unit are being routed to a different
PULSAR unit.
Press the CD button on the remote control

The screen displays the message 'No
Disc' when you close the CD drawer or

CD dirty.

CD damaged in the Table of Contents
Cause 3:
(TOC) area.
No remedy; the CD is unusable.
Remedy:
The CD player has become very cold
Cause 4:
(e. g. in transit) and condensation has
formed on the laser sensor optics.
Allow the unit to warm up for about an

Problem:
Blank screen.
The screen is switched off.
Cause:
Switch the screen on again by pressing

CD playback stops or 'jumps'.

Please check all connections and cables

Cause:
E 2000 remote control receiver not con-
nected.
Remedy:
Connect the E 2000 remote control re-
ceiver as shown in Wiring Diagram.
