LCB002 LED effect spotlight

This product complies with the national and European legal requirements.
Intended use
The LED effect spotlight is used to generate lighting effects in light-show facilities, party base-
ments etc.
The product may only be connected to the enclosed power pack. The power pack may only be
connected to a mains outlet with 100-240 V AC/50/60 Hz of the public grid. No other electrical
power supply is permitted.
The product may only be used indoors, never outdoors. Contact with moisture, for example in
bathrooms, must be avoided.
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and involves the
risk of short circuits, fi re, electric shock, etc.
No part of the product may be modifi ed or rebuilt, and the housing must not be opened.
Please take note of all safety instructions and installation notes in these ope-
rating instructions.
Explanation of the Symbols
This symbol on the device indicates that the user should read these operating
instructions prior to using the product.
The lightning symbol in a triangle is used to alert you to potential risks for per-
sonal injury, such as electric shock. The device contains no parts that should
be serviced by the user. Therefore, never open the device.
An exclamation mark indicates important notes in these operating instruc-
tions, which should always be observed.
The arrow symbol indicates special information and advice on operating the
product.
This symbol indicates the minimum distance to the illuminated surface.

The symbol with the house is used to inform the user that the device may only
be operated in enclosed rooms.

Safety Instructions

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions. We do not assume any liability for any resulting dam-
age.
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The war-
ranty will be void in such cases.
• Prior to commissioning, check the device for damage. If the device is damaged, you must not
use it.
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation to the product is not
permitted.
• The light effect device is designed in protection class III and may only be operated with the
enclosed power pack.
• The power pack has been designed in protection class II and may only be operated on a mains
socket of the public grid.
• The power pack may never be plugged in or unplugged with wet hands.
• The device is still connected with the mains when it is switched off. To disconnect it from the
power supply completely, the power pack must be pulled out from the mains socket.
• Never operate the device unsupervised.
• Do not look straight into the light rays during operation. Temporarily, the light beams can lead
to visual defects. Moreover, they may trigger epileptic seizures for vulnerable persons. Of
course, this applies particularly to epileptics.
• Check the device for damage from time to time. Do not touch the power pack, the light effect
device, or the connection cable if they show visible damage. First, switch off the power at the
mains socket (e.g. with the corresponding circuit breaker), and then carefully unplug the power
supply unit from the mains socket. Do not use the product afterwards, but take it to a specialist
workshop.
• Never replace a damaged connecting cable of the power pack. If the connecting cable is dam-

aged, the power pack is unusable and must be disposed of. Do not repair it.
• Avoid subjecting the device to severe mechanical stress. Do not expose it to high tempera-

tures, strong vibration, high degrees of humidity or dripping or spray water.
• Use the device only in temperate climate regions and not in tropical ones.
• Never position vessels or containers containing liquids, such as glasses, buckets, vases or
plants, in the direct vicinity of the product. Liquids may seep into the casing and thus impair the
electrical safety of the device. Furthermore, there is a signifi cant risk of fi re or a lethal electric
shock! In such an event, isolate the mains socket to which the product is connected (e.g.
switch off the automatic fuse) and unplug the power pack from the mains socket. Afterwards,
the product can no longer be used; take it to a specialist workshop.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous play-
thing for children.
• Also observe any further safety instructions in the individual sections of these operating
instructions.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's Liability
Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Facilities are to be observed.
• If in doubt about how to connect the product correctly, or should any questions arise that are
not answered in these operating instructions, please contact our technical advisory service or
another specialist.
Component Descriptions and Control Elements

Installation

The assembly and the installation of the device must be carried out by a spe-
cialist who is familiar with the hazards and the relevant regulations. Repairs,
operation and maintenance of the product may only be carried out by qualifi ed
personnel.
When choosing a location for your device, make sure to avoid vibration, dust,
hot and cold temperatures and dampness. Furthermore, keep the product away
from strong transformers or motors.
The light effect may only be operated in locations where the ambient tempera-
ture is less than 50 °C.
The device must be mounted out of normal reach.
Illuminated objects must be at least 0.1 m away from the device's light outlet.
Easily-fl ammable materials, such as decorative fabrics, must have a distance of
at least 0.5 m to the device. Otherwise, such materials may catch fi re!
During installation and servicing, the area below the installation site must be
cordoned off.
The installation surface, or mounting fi xture, must be designed so that it can
withstand 10 times the loading capacity for at least one hour without perma-
nent damaging deformation.
It is also essential that the device is secured by means of a second safety
restraint, which is independent of the proper mounting supports, when it is
installed in an elevated position. If the main supports fail, no part of the instal-
lation should be able to fall down.
