via any other heating device. The fondue pot is not suited for roasting and sautéing.
During operation, always ensure that the fondue pot is filled with at least 1.3 litres
of liquid (1300ml). During elongated use, keep in mind that the liquid evaporates
and sticks to the food, you are taking out. Do not overfill the fondue pot, especially
when heating food that may violently froth or splash (e.g. hot oil or heavy sauces).
When immersing moist food at high temperature, the sauce, oil or dip in the fondue
pot could violently froth and splash. For preparing fondue with oil and oily dips at
high temperature: Do not fill in more than 1600 ml (1.6 litres). Dab wet food dry
and defrost frozen food, before immersing.
Ensure not to spill or pour liquid on the appliance. If large amounts of liquid ran
out and into the heating base, immediately turn the control dial counter-clockwise to
"OFF", unplug and leave the appliance cool down completely. Thereafter, dry and
clean the appliance (see: 'Care and Cleaning') and leave the appliance dry naturally
for at least 1 day. To avoid severe burns and risk of electric shock: DO NOT attempt
to wipe off liquids spilled on the heating plate, while the appliance is still hot!
Beware of hot condensate, splashes and steam, when removing the forks holder or
removing any pieces of food from the fondue pot. Always keep a sufficient distance
to the fondue pot with your hands, arms, and face, when the fondue pot is hot.
Always ensure that no one (including you) holds hands or arms under the fondue pot,
while pieces of food are taken out of the fondue pot.
Do not place any too large pieces of food in the fondue pot that may be overhan-
ging the rim.
NOTE
We recommend to hold a small ladle at hand for removing any pieces of food
that fell off the fondue fork during cooking.
1. Prepare your food: Remove any inedible parts and cut the food in cubes or strips,
approx. 2cm in size. If required, defrost frozen ingredients and dab wet food dry
before cooking. Fill the requested ingredients with a sufficient amount of liquid into
the fondue pot (filling level between "MIN" and "MAX", 1.3-2.0 litres).
2. However, when preparing fondue with oil or oily sauces that should be heated
to very high temperature, only fill in max. 1.6 litres (1600ml; filling line "1").
3. Insert the forks holder into the fondue pot.
4. Ensure that the heating plate is clean and dry. Prepare the appliance for opera-
tion (see: 'Getting Ready for Use').
5. Ensure that the exterior of the fondue pot is clean and dry. Place the fondue pot
on the heating plate. Insert the power plug into the power outlet. The appliance
is ready for use, now.

6. Turn the control dial clockwise to the desired setting. The heating plate starts
heating immediately and the heating indicator illuminates.
NOTE
For heating dips and sauces that are sensitive to heat (e.g. cheese or chocolate)
only use low temperature settings (see: 'Tips for Best Results'). For pre-heating insen-
sitive sauces, oil, or stock, you may start with maximum temperature setting and
thereafter reduce the setting to the desired temperature.
7. If required, fill the fondue dishes with further ingredients (e.g. ground nuts, grated
cheese, dips and sauces) and distribute the fondue dishes in the openings of the
revolving disc of the turn table.
WARNING
– When removing the forks holder, beware of steam escaping
and hot condensate that could drip, causing scalds. Additionally, always ensure
that all persons (including you) keep hands and arms in sufficient distance to the
fondue pot, especially when removing food from the fondue pot. Before removing
a fondue fork from the fondue pot, check whether the handle of the fondue
fork is hot. Keep in mind that the supplied fondue forks are pointed.
8. As soon as the desired temperature is reached, start cooking your food. For this,
pierce your food via the supplied fondue forks. Then carefully immerse your food
into the fondue pot and, if required, hang the fondue forks into the forks holder.
9. Leave your food cook to the desired doneness or turn the food within the fon-
due sauce. If required, ensure that the handle of the fondue fork is not hot to the
touch and ensure that all persons present keep their hands and arms in sufficient
distance, when taking out your food.
NOTE
To avoid dripping, it is good advice to hold a dish near the fondue pot, when
removing the food.
AFTER USE
WARNING
– NAlways switch OFF the appliance (turn the control dial to
"OFF"), unplug, and allow cooling down, before moving or cleaning, and
