Configuring digital communication (I3X4Y)
STEP 1:
Select instrument address
- parameter [Ad] : 1 to 63.
Configuring alarm setpoints and relays
All I300 models have four fully configurable alarm setpoints.
Assignment and function of the alarm relays (1 on the I3X1Y, 4 on other models) are also configurable.
LEDs Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4 indicate when setpoints have been exceeded, but not alarm relay state. When the inputs are configured for relative humidity and
temperature, setpoints Y1 and Y2 are assigned to relative humidity and setpoints Y3 and Y4 to temperature.
The setpoints and relays are identified by the following messages:
Y setpoint 1,
Y2 setpoint 2,
r1 setpoint 1,
r2 setpoint 2,
During each step of the configuration procedure, the setpoints and settings (hysteresis, timing...) are assigned an identification number corresponding to
that of the setpoint (ex.: hysteresis setpoint Y1 = H1, timing setpoint Y3 = t3...).
STEP 1:
Access to setpoint adjustment:
•bl_on: setpoint "locked"
•bl-oF: setpoint not "locked."
STEP 2:
Assign relay r1
•noSEc: r1 assigned to setpoint 1 alarm output.
•SECur: r1 assigned to alarm output function in case of broken sensor or measurement wire.
In SECUr mode, relay r1 state and function are not displayed.
STEP 3:
Select setpoint Y1 alarm relay outputs
For this selection, noSEC must have been configured in step 2.
•r1: relay r1 is independent and assigned to setpoint Y1. Relay r3 is automatically assigned to setpoint Y3.
•r1 - r3: relays r1 and r3 are both assigned to setpoint Y1. In this case, setpoint Y3 has no alarm output relay.
STEP 4:
Select setpoint 2 alarm relay outputs
•r2: relay r2 is independent and assigned to setpoint 2. Relay r4 is automatically assigned to setpoint 4.
•r2 - r4: relays r2 and r4 are both assigned to setpoint Y2. In this case, setpoint Y4 has no alarm output relay.
STEP 5:
select alarm setpoint type
•AL-Lo: alarm trips when value drops below minimum limit.
•AL-Hi: alarm trips when value exceeds maximum limit.
STEP 6:
Select alarm relay function mode
Alarm relays that trip when their setpoints are exceeded can be configured as follows:
•on-AL: relay in alarm state if active (standard protection)
•oF-AL: relay in alarm state if inactive (positive protection)
In case of broken coil or power failure, the mode goes to rest position (inactive).
When relay r1 is assigned the broken sensor protection function (see step 2), this is configured in "standard protection" mode.
If relays r1 and r3 are assigned to setpoint 1 (see step 3), they have the same configuration, defined by the selection made for relay r1.
The same applies to relays r2 and r4 if assigned to setpoint 2.

Value can be changed on SET.P menu.

STEP 2:
Select baud rate
- parameter [bd]: 1200 - 2400 - 4800 - 9600 -19200 baud.
