14. Troubleshooting

Poor radio reception
• Extend the aerial completely.
• Move the radio. Remember to scan for stations again after moving.
• Check that the radio is not close to any sources of interference such as microwaves,
fluorescent lights, etc.
No sound
• Check the volume setting.
• Check that the power switch is not set to OFF and that the mains lead is connected correctly.
• Try changing to another station.
The controls are not working
• Check that the power switch is not set to OFF and that the mains lead is connected correctly.
• Turn the unit off, unplug the mains lead, wait about 1 minute. Plug the mains lead back in.
• Reset the radio to its factory settings, see Resetting the radio to factory settings.
