Connect the appliance only to mains power sockets supplying

a mains power voltage of 220–240 V ~ , 50/60 Hz.
Remove the plug from the mains power socket in case of

operating malfunctions and before you clean the appliance.
Always pull on the plug to disconnect the appliance from the

mains; never pull on the power cable itself.
Ensure that the power cable does not become wet or damp
►
during use. Route the cable in such a way that it cannot be
crushed or damaged.
If the appliance, the power cable or the plug are damaged,

arrange for them to be repaired by Customer Services to
avoid hazardous situations.
Do not use the appliance outdoors.

Do not use extension cables – they will make it difficult to
►
disconnect the appliance quickly in an emergency.
Never touch the appliance, the power cable or the power
►
plug with wet hands.
Do not kink or crush the power cable, and route the cable
►
so that it cannot be stepped on or tripped over.
Do not wrap the power cable around the appliance, and
►
protect it from being damaged. Under no circumstances
should the appliance be submersed in liquids or liquids be
allowed to penetrate the housing. Do not expose the appli-
ance to humidity and do not use it outdoors. If any liquid
gets into the housing, disconnect the appliance from the
mains power socket immediately and have it repaired by a
qualified technician.
