6. Mount the QC Qualifier to a wall or panel. (See mounting Instructions in Product Information Manual Form 45499555).
7. Plug transformer into A/C outlet.
Note: Do not change the three screw settings at the back of the RSM box. The screw in the center is for adjusting the sensitivity of the flow sensor.
QXLH Air Hoses
QXLH air hoses provide a green or red light signal indicating an OK/NOK cycle. Air hoses are optional, but provide excellent feedback to the
operator.

Inputs / Outputs
The QC Qualifier has Inputs and Outputs that are easily connected using the terminals located
at the top of the enclosure. All I/O are optically isolated and rated for 24V DC. Standard dry
contact closure relays are used and can handle up to 4 amps at 24 volts. Wire according to the
legend printed on the front label as shown below.
An input signal is a 24V DC signal that is applied between pin-1, (common) and the desired
input. Either polarity will be accepted. Jumping pins 7 and 8 disables the QC Qualifier. A limit
switch, relay or any contact closure that is isolated can accomplish this. Do not apply any
other voltage to these two pins.

PIN 2: Can select Program 1( P-set1) by LOW-HIGH-LOW pulse of 24V DC between pin 1 and 2

PIN 3: Can select Program 2( P-set2) by LOW-HIGH-LOW pulse of 24V DC between pin 1 and 3

PIN 4: not in use

PIN 5: Can be used as POKE YOKE. It can be used as a bolt count signal from a Click wrench with a reed switch (for example, if 4 bolts are
tightened and checked with a click wrench, so total count should be 8 for this batch. Count less than 8 will generate error signal)

PIN 6: This will clear batch count value with input signal.

PIN 7 & 8 : when shorted together, disables the QC Qualifier.
Output Terminal
Output terminals are electromechanical contact relays with normally open condition. It can be used as switching contacts for external status
lamps or alarms.
