1 Balanced input via XLR jack

When connecting a unit with line level output (e. g.
mixer, CD player), release the button.
When connecting a microphone, depress the button.

2 Safety Notes

This unit corresponds to all required directives of the
EU and is therefore marked with
WARNING
The unit is supplied with hazardous
mains voltage (230 V~). Leave servic-
ing to skilled personnel only. Inexpert
handling or modification of the unit may
cause an electric shock hazard.
Please observe the following items in any case:
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient temperature
range 0 – 40 °C).
Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on the unit,
e. g. a drinking glass.
Do not operate the unit and immediately disconnect
the mains plug from the socket
1. in case of visible damage to the unit or to the
mains cable,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled per-
sonnel.
Never pull the mains cable for disconnecting the
mains plug from the socket, always seize the plug.
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
water or chemicals.

3 Applications
The active speaker system PAK-110/SW with a 25 cm
(10") bass speaker and a dynamic horn tweeter is suit-
able for general PA applications. It supplies a maxi-
mum total power of 150 W and is equipped with sep-
arate power amplifiers for the bass channel and the
tweeter channel.

The input sensitivity can be switched from line level to
microphone level and additionally adapted via the gain
control. For adjusting the sound, a 3-way equalizer is
provided.

4 Operation

Important for U.K. Customers!
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accord-
ance with the following code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow must
be connected to the terminal in the plug which is
marked with the letter E or by the earth symbol
or coloured green or green and yellow.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
Warning - This appliance must be earthed.
If the unit is to be put out of operation de-
finitively, take it to a local recycling plant for
a disposal which is not harmful to the en-
vironment.
The signal source may be connected either via a
output (e. g. mixer, CD player, MD or cassette re-
corder) or a microphone:
– either to the balanced XLR jack (1)
(The jack has a latching. To remove the plug,
press the PUSH lever.)
– or to the unbalanced 6.3 mm jack (2)
It is recommended to use the XLR jack as a bal-
anced signal transmission will offer the best noise
suppression, especially with long connection cables.
