STANDARDS OF USE
1. FINISH ASSEMBLY
NOTE - The machine can be supplied with some of the
components already fitted.
WARNING - Unpacking and completing the assembly
should be done on a flat and stable surface, with enough
space for machine handling and its packaging, always
making use of suitable equipment.
Disposal of the packaging should be done in accordance
with the local regulations in force.
1.1
Attach the stone-guard by inserting the pin (1) and the
spring (2) as shown. First, insert the pin into the right-hand
housing (4). Next fit the eyelet end (3) of the spring into the
central slot, and lastly insert the other end of the pin in place
(5).
1.2
Insert the lower right part (1) and lower left part (2) of
the handle into the respective holes and lock into position
with the screws (3) supplied.
Attach the upper part of the handle (4) to the lower parts
using the knobs (5) and the nuts and bolts supplied as shown.
Attach the cable clamp (6) to the position shown and then
attach the cable (7). The correct position of the electric cable
hook (8) is as shown.
1.3a
For a rigid grass-catcher, assemble the two parts (1)
and (2), making sure that the hooks are fully clicked into posi-
tion.
1.3b
For a cloth grass-catcher, insert the frame (11) into
the sack (12) and attach the plastic bars (13) using a screw-
driver, as shown in the drawing.
1.4
To attach the wheels, follow the steps shown. Attach
the wheels selecting one of the holes for the preferred cutting
heights, fully tightening the pin (1) using the wrench (2) pro-
vided.
2. DESCRIPTION OF CONTROLS
2.1
The engine is controlled by a dual action switch to
prevent starting it accidentally. To start, press the button (2)
and pull the lever (1). The engine automatically stops when
the lever (1) is released.
2.2
The cutting height is adjusted by attaching the wheels
to the required hole, fully tightening the pin (1) using the
wrench (2) provided. All the wheels must be at the same
height.
MAKE THIS ADJUSTMENT ONLY WHEN THE BLADE IS
STOPPED.
3. GRASS CUTTING
3.1
Lift the stone-guard and attach the rigid grass-catch-
er (1) or cloth grass-catcher (2) correctly as shown in the
drawings.
3.2
Connect the extension cable correctly as indicated.
Start the engine by pressing the safety push-button (2) and
pulling the switchgear lever (1).
3.3
While cutting, ensure that the electric cable is always
behind you and on the area of grass already cut.
The lawn will look better if it is always cut to the same height
and in alternate directions.
3.4
When you have finishing mowing, release the lever (1).
FIRST disconnect the cable extension from the supply sock-
et (2) and THEN from the side of the lawnmower's switchgear
(3).
WAIT FOR THE BLADE TO STOP before carrying out any
type of work on the machine.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Should the motor stop during use through overheating, wait
about 5 minutes before re-starting.
4. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT - Regular, careful maintenance is essential
for keeping the safety level and original performance of
the machine unchanged in time.
Store the lawnmower in a dry place.
1) Wear strong working gloves during any cleaning, mainte-
nance or adjustment operation on the machine.
2) Remove the grass debris after each cut and mud accu-
mulated inside the chassis to avoid their drying and thus
making the next start-up difficult.
3) Always ensure that ventilation openings are kept clear of
debris.
4.1
Each intervention on the blade is best if conducted at
a specialised Centre that has the most appropriate tools.
Only blades with the following codes must be used on this
machine:
81004141/0 (for model 350)
81004142/0 (for model 390)
Blades must always be marked
tion, the above mentioned blade may be replaced in time by
others, with similar interchangeable and operating safety
characteristics.
Reassemble the blade (2) with the code and markings facing
the ground, following the order indicated in the illustration.
Tighten the central screw (1) using a torque wrench set to 16-
20 Nm.
4.2
Do not use forced water and avoid wetting the motor
or the electrical components.
Do not use harsh products for cleaning the chassis.
5. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Environmental protection should be a priority of considerable
importance when using the machine, for the benefit of both
social coexistence and the environment in which we live.
– Try not to cause any disturbance to the surrounding area.
– Scrupulously comply with local regulations and provisions
for the disposal of waste materials after cutting.
– Scrupulously comply with local regulations and provisions
for the disposal of pakagings, damaged parts or any ele-
ments which have a strong impact on the environment; this
waste must not be disposed of as normal waste, it must be
separated and taken to specified waste disposal centres
where the material will be recycled.
– At the time of decommissioning, do not pollute the envi-
ronment with the machine, hand it over to a disposal cen-
tre, in accordance with the local laws in force.
Should you have any doubts or problems, do not hesitate to
contact your nearest Service Centre or your Dealer.
