• Always use the cover for the guide rail (27) during storage.
• Always clean and maintain the appliance before storage,
see section "Cleaning and maintenance".
• Switch off the chainsaw before moving it anywhere, even
short distances. Protect the machine during transport (also in
vehicles) against tipping over to prevent fuel loss, damage
or injuries.
• Empty the oil and fuel tanks using a suction pump.
m WARNING!
Do not remove the fuel in enclosed rooms, in the vicinity of fire
or while smoking. Gas vapours can cause explosions or fire.
• Start the engine and leave it running until the remaining pet-
rol has been used up.

15 Disposal and recycling
The equipment is supplied in packaging to prevent it from be-
ing damaged in transit. The raw materials in this packaging
can be reused or recycled.
The equipment and its accessories are made of various types
of material, such as metal and plastic. Defective components
must be disposed of as special waste. Ask your dealer or your
local council.
The packaging is wholly composed of environment-
ally-friendly materials that can be disposed of at a
local recycling centre.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for
more details of how to dispose of your worn-out
electrical devices.
