HEINE Handles
This instruction document is valid for the following products from the HEINE handle series: BETA battery handle,
rechargeable handle: BETA NT, BETA 4 NT, BETA TR, BETA R, BETA 4 USB, BETA L, large battery handle,
mini3000 battery handle and mini3000 rechargeable handle
Please read and follow these instructions for use of and keep them for future reference.
Intended Use
The HEINE handles are designed exclusively for the operational use of medical examination instruments
manufactured by the HEINE company.

Setting up
Inserting battery and rechargeable battery
HEINE battery handle
To set up the HEINE battery handle, unscrew the bottom insert (5) from the handle module and insert the
batteries with the positive terminal first into the outer sleeve (4). Screw the bottom insert (5) back in.
HEINE rechargeable handle
To set up the HEINE rechargeable handle, unscrew the bottom insert (5) from the handle module and insert
the rechargeable battery into the outer sleeve (4) as described in the rechargeable battery instructions. Screw
the bottom insert back in.
With the BETA 4 NT and BETA 4 USB handles, remove the insulation film between the bottom insert
and the battery.
Changing of the Li-ion L battery
For BETA L, BETA 4 NT or BETA 4 USB, remove the bottom inserts as described above. Remove the battery
from the bottom insert by pulling it away from the bottom insert and replace it with a new battery. Battery and
bottom insert are connected correctly once a distinct click sound has been heard. Screw the bottom insert
with the battery back into the handle.
