Attention: The visor features anti-fog coating on the inside. The visor and the coating
must be meticulously cared for at regular intervals with warm water, a soft cloth and, if
necessary, mild dishwashing liquid. Visors should never be cleaned when dry or using
aggressive or abrasive materials. Even with proper care, this coating has a limited
resistance with corresponding use. Detachment of the inner display coating does not
represent a defect; in this case it is recommended you replace the visor.
8. REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS
8.1 Exchanging the chin strap
As described under point 5.2, the chin strap can be removed by means of a
hexagonal socket wrench and installed in the reverse order. Afterwards adjust the
chin strap as shown in point 4.1.4
8.2 Exchanging the visor
First unscrew the (hexagon socket) screws on both sides.
First mount the new visor and then the helmet liner support onto the protruding
side joints and reinsert and tighten the screws (Caution: Ensure the proper seating
of the included spring lock washers!)
8.3 Replacing the eye shield
First unscrew the three main screws (hexagon socket) on the left, right and at
the rear.
Then pull the gear box shaft out of the adjustment knob. Remove the complete
helmet liner from the helmet. Afterwards remove the two screws (hexagon socket)
of the eye shield mount and exchange the eye shield.
