time is 2 s (control turned clockwise to the stop), the maxi-
mum alarm time is 40 s (control turned counter-clockwise to
the stop).
6 Functional Test of the Motion Detector
After installing, connecting and adjusting the unit, the function
of the motion detector can be tested by walking across the area
to be monitored. Approx. 1 minute after connecting the motion
detector to the power supply, the unit is ready for operation.
Slowly walk across the area to be monitored. Repeat this from
various directions. As soon as a movement is detected, the red
LED behind the lens will light up.
To prevent unauthorized persons from spying out the area
to be monitored, the LED can be switched off after the func-
tional test. For this purpose, open the front cover (Attention:

opened!), change the position of the jumper "J1" on the PCB
so that it is placed on the central pin and the lower pin of the
plug contact (see fig. "B" below).
