3.0 MOVEMENT AND INSTALLATION
3.1 TRANSPORTATION AND UNLOADING
WARNING: Unloading, transportation and lifting operations of the lift can be dangerous if not carried-out with maximum attention.
Therefore, move away any persons unrelated to the task; clean, clear away and delimit the area of installation; check that the means to be
used are suitable and complete; do not touch suspended loads and stay away from them within a safe distance; during transportation, the
loads should not be raised higher than 20 cm. from the floor; carefully follow the directions below; if you have doubts or uncertainties,
stop immediately.
Due to transportation and volume requirements, the lift is sent partially dismantled into its main parts.
The various components of the packaged lift are packed for easy and safe transportation and handling. The packed lift should be moved using a
forklift truck of suitable capacity. While moving, do not let the packed lift or the individual columns undergo violent knocks or blows. The
dimensions and mass of the packed lift are indicated in Figure 7.
3.2 INSTALLATION
WARNING: Only let qualified and authorized technicians perform installation, control and inspection operations. They must be able to gua-
rantee full compliance of these with the safety standards applicable to electrotechnology, pneumatics and building.
DANGER: Installation, control and inspection of the lift may involve hazardous operations. As a consequence, these directions must be fol-
lowed carefully. Should any doubts persist, contact the manufacturer. AGM-CO.SMET Srl refuse any responsibility for damage to people or
things due to a non-compliance with the safety and accident prevention regulations contained in this manual.
3.3 FOUNDATION
The liftt must be placed on a reinforced concrete layer type "R 300" with a min. thickness of 20 cm. The cement base plate must be dead-bright,
perfectly even and cast on solid ground. The overall dimensions of the plant are indicated in the figure 1.
3.4 POSITIONING AND ERECTION OF THE STRUCTURE
WARNING: In this phase of the installation, DO NOT connect any electrical cables to the lift
1)
Choose the installation area making sure to leave a free safety space of the least 600 mm between the lift structure and other existig fixed
or mobile constructions (Fig. 1).
2)
On the selected installation area, define the position of the control column (3 Fig. 1) keeping in mind that this column will be on the right
hand side, opposite to on the veihicle climbing side (Fig. 3).
3)
Take off the protective packings from the lift. Lay on the floor the different components of the lift.
3.4.1 ASSEMBLING OF THE ELECTRICAL PANEL AND OF THE HYDRAULIC STATION
1)
Prepare 4 supports (1 Fig. 6) with the same height and strong enough to carry a weight of 300 kg each (Fig. 6).
2)
Lay the platform P1 (2 Fig. 6) on two of the supports, taking care to direct the side with the protruding cables and pipes towards the con-
trol column (3 Fig. 6).
3)
Lay the platform P2 (4 Fig. 6) on the other two supports, taking care to position the v-shape holes (5 Fig. 6) to the same side as those of
the platform P1.
4)
Take out the 4 cables (6 Fig. 6) from the platform P1.
5)
Position the two cross beams (7 Fig. 6) on the floor at both platforms ends, so that the cables opening is towards the lift inside and on the
platform P1 side.
CAUTION: It is of the utmost importance, during the following assembling phases, that the load bearing cables (6 Fig. 6) are not eccedingly
26
crushed or bent in a way that can jeopardire their resistance.
Furthermore it is important to install the cables in the correct way, guided in the respective pulleys, following exactly, the next instructions.
