Initial use

. Before using the appliance for the first time, clean with a cleaning product that dissolves
grease.
. Rub cleaned parts and surfaces dry with a soft cloth.
D For cleaning, see page 13 chapter 4.

Filling the tank

. Close the drain tap.
If Gastronorm containers are not used or if the
containers are not suspended:
. Insert the perforated trivet.
D Containers must not be stood on the base of
the tank. Use only stainless steel containers.
Observe the appliance as it fills
with water.
. Open the water supply tap.
. Water valve as optional equipment: Open
valve by turning clockwise.
. Fill tank with water to a depth of approxim­
ately 3 cm.
D Note the water fill level. The containers must
be in contact with the water and must not
float.
D To speed up the heating-up time: fill with hot
water and cover the tank while it is heating.
D Check the water level regularly while the ap­
pliance is in use and top up with water as
necessary.
Water supply variant
Standard
− no water inlet/the appliance does not have a
valve. Water must be added by hand or from
a mixer tap.
Manually - fill from the water valve
− Open water valve by turning anticlockwise.
− Stop filling by closing the water valve (anti­
clockwise).
