8.5 Line BACK LIGHT – backlight compensation
Via this menu item, the backlight compensation
(BLC) can be switched on (= ON>) and OFF. Alter-
natively, the function WDR (Wide Dynamic Range)
can be selected. The backlight compensation serves
for purposeful brightening of objects to be monitored
in backlight which would otherwise be reproduced
too dark and poor in contrast by the brightness con-
trol. For this purpose the picture is divided into 48
zones for which brightening can be defined individ-
ually. If "ON>" was selected, press the key

tures per second than the video signal requires.
