„ESC "
This option is only available if the adjustment "Manual" has
been selected in the menu item "Lens", i.e. a lens with fixed
(uncontrolled) iris is used. In this case a brightness control via
the electronic shutter is possible. After pressing the key "SET"
(12), a basic brightness can be specified for this control.

A value between "0" and "99" can be selected with the keys
(9) and
(10). The higher the value, the further to the right
the "I" will be placed in the bar graph below. As an active video
signal control (AGC) makes the adjustment more difficult, it
should be deactivated before, if necessary (menu item: "Gain"
= "OFF"). Press the key "SET" (12) to return to the main menu.
8.6 Menu item 5: "Gain"
(Automatic control of the video signal)
The camera is equipped with an automatic gain control for the
video signal (AGC). With poor lighting conditions, the sensitivity of
the camera is thus increased. As also an increased picture noise

may occur by a high amplification, the amplification can be limited
to a maximum. If the menu item has been selected, activate
("AGC ") or deactivate ("OFF") the control with the keys

tation for the amplification after pressing the key "SET" (12).

Press the key "SET" (12) to return to the main menu.
Note: A change of the adjustment "Gain" from "OFF" to "AGC "
automatically results in a change of the adjustment for "Color"
(compare 8.9 menu item 8: "Color") to "AUTO " unless the
external switching "EXT. " has been selected for "Color".
8.7 Menu item 6: "White Balance"
Different light sources like filament lamps, fluorescent lamps, or
the sun have light of different colour (colour temperature). To
obtain a natural colour reproduction, the camera can be balanced
accordingly. Via the menu item "White Balance" three different
methods can be selected by means of the keys
1. "ATW" (Auto Tracking White Balance) – The white balance is
continuously made fully automatically.
2. "AWC" (Auto White Correction) – The white balance is once
made semi-automatically. For this purpose hold a white object
(e. g. a sheet of paper) in front of the camera in the environment
where it is used and press the key "SET" (12). Then the letters
"AWC" flash for approx. 5 s and the values are memorized as a
