These operating instructions convey important information to you, which is essential
for the proper operation of your torque wrench!
Safety information
- Your torque wrench is a precision tool. Despite its robust design, your torque wrench should be treated
like a measuring device. Do not use your torque wrench as a striking tool as this may destroy it.
- Before using your torque wrench, ensure that it is correctly calibrated. All new torque wrench models
come with a test certificate in compliance with DIN ISO 6789.
- Please attach only standard sockets and accessories to your torque wrench. Do not use worn or
defective accessories and, where possible, do not use reduction adapters.
- To avoid the danger of slipping, always attach your torque wrench onto the screw connection at
a right angle.
- Do not exceed the torque value set. Your torque wrench actuates automatically, tangibly and audibly
(clicking). Following actuation, where possible, release the pressure immediately.
- Your torque wrench must not be used for unscrewing screw connections.
- Do not exceed the permissible torque range for your torque wrench. Tightening your torque wrench
excessively can cause material failure!
Intended use
- Your torque wrench may only be applied according to its intended use.
- Your torque wrench is designed for controlled screw tightening exclusively.
- Any other additional use of your torque wrench is not the intended use.
- Liability will not be accepted for any damage arising from incorrect use.
Guarantee/warranty services are also excluded in such cases.
Setting the torque value
- Pull out the locking button on the end of the handle.
- Set the desired torque on the scale by turning the handle.
- Push the locking button in - the set value is locked.
- Lock-in position: 0. 1 ; 0.25; 1 N·m (depending on model).
Screw tightening
- Upon initial use and after a lengthy time in storage, actuate the torque wrench several times for the
uniform lubrication of the instrument.
- Actuate at the handle only - do not use an extension.
- Crank slowly and steadily until the "click". Discontinue at this point - the torque set has been reached.
The actuation signal is clearly audible and tangible in your hand.
- Torque wrenches are precision tools - they are NOT suitable for unscrewing.
Maintenance and inspection
- When storing, set the lowest scale value to release the pressure spring. Clean dry only – do not immerse
in petrol or solvent.
- The manufacturer guarantees torque wrench accuracy of +/- 3% for the respective scale values at max.
5,000 stress cycles. The torque wrench should therefore be tested at least every 5,000 stress cycles on a
reproducibly calibrated test control unit.
- Your torque wrench must be calibrated at least once a year by authorised specialists. For this purpose,
