5.8 Geschwindigkeit und Tonhöhe verändern
Um die Geschwindigkeit und damit gleichzeitig die
Tonhöhe zu ändern (±16 %), die Taste PITCH (5)
drücken. Die LED PITCH (6) leuchtet, und die
Geschwindigkeit kann nun mit dem Schieberegler
PITCH CONTROL (8) verändert werden. Im Display
wird die mit dem Schieberegler eingestellte prozen-
tuale Abweichung von der Standardgeschwindigkeit
(g) angezeigt.
Mit der Taste PITCH kann zwischen der mit dem
Schieberegler eingestellten Geschwindigkeit und
der Standardgeschwindigkeit hin- und hergeschaltet
werden.
5.9 Takt angleichen
Wurde die Geschwindigkeit eines Titels auf dem
Laufwerk 1 an die eines Titels auf dem Laufwerk 2
angeglichen, liegen die Taktschläge beider Titel nicht
unbedingt übereinander. Dazu die Taste PITCH
BEND - oder + (7) so lange gedrückt halten, bis die
Taktschläge übereinanderliegen. Solange eine der
Tasten PITCH BEND gedrückt gehalten wird, läuft
der Titel etwas langsamer (Taste -) oder schneller
(Taste +), und die Anzeige PITCH (6) blinkt.
Hinweis: Die Taste PITCH BEND + ist bei einer
Geschwindigkeit von +16 % unwirksam und die
Taste - bei einer Geschwindigkeit von -16 %.

Faderstart
Der CD-Spieler läßt sich über ein Mischpult mit Kon-
taktsteuerung fernbedienen. Mit dem Öffnen des ent-
sprechenden Mischpult-Faders wird ein Schalter im
Mischpult geschlossen, der den CD-Spieler startet.
Beim Schließen des Faders öffnet der Schalter und
schaltet dadurch den CD-Spieler auf Pause. Im Misch-
pult dürfen die Kontakte dieses Schalters mit Masse
verbunden sein, jedoch nicht mit einer Spannung!

5.8 Changing of speed and pitch
To change the speed and at the same time the pitch
(±16 %), press button PITCH (5). The LED PITCH (6)
lights, and the speed can now be changed with the
sliding control PITCH CONTROL (8). The display
shows the deviation in per cent from the standard
speed (g) adjusted with the sliding control.
With button PITCH it is possible to switch back
and forth between the speed adjusted with the sliding
control and the standard speed.
5.9 Adjusting the beat
If the speed of a title of player mechanism 1 has been
adjusted to that of a title of player mechanism 2, the
beat sequence of both titles is not necessarily the
same. For this keep button PITCH BEND - or + (7)
pressed until the beat sequence is synchronized. As
long as one of the buttons PITCH BEND is kept
pressed, the title is played more slowly (button -) or
more quickly (button +), and the indication PITCH (6)
blinks.
Note: Button PITCH BEND + is ineffective at a speed
of +16 % and button - at a speed of -16 %.

Fader Start
The CD player can be remote-controlled via a mixer
with contact control. With opening the corresponding
mixer fader a switch, which starts the CD player, is
closed in the mixer. With closing the fader the switch
is opened and thus switches the CD player to pause.
In the mixer the contacts of this switch can be
connected with ground but not with a voltage!
To avoid a malfunction, at first switch off the CD
player and the mixer. Connect the corresponding fader
start jacks at the mixer via cables (see fig. 6) to the
jacks START/PAUSE 1 (26) resp. START/PAUSE 2
(21).

Über die Mischpult-Monitorfunktion kann bei ge-
schlossenem Fader für den CD-Spieler ein Titel vor-
gehört werden:
1) Mit den Tasten
ten Titel springen.
2) Die Taste CUE 1 (12) oder CUE 2 (14) gedrückt
halten. Der Titel spielt so lange, wie die Taste ge-
drückt wird.
3) Nach dem Loslassen der Taste CUE springt das
Gerät auf den Titelanfang zurück. Zum Starten
des Titels den Fader aufziehen.

Pflege des Gerätes
Das Gerät vor Staub, Vibrationen, direktem Sonnen-
licht, Feuchtigkeit und Hitze schützen (zulässiger
Einsatztemperaturbereich 0–40 °C). Für die Reini-
gung nur ein weiches, trockenes Tuch verwenden,
auf keinen Fall Wasser oder Chemikalien.
Hinweis zu Tonaussetzern und Lesefehlern
Zigarettenrauch dringt leicht durch alle Öffnungen
des Gerätes und setzt sich auch auf der Optik des
Laser-Abtastsystems ab. Dieser Belag kann zu
Lesefehlern und Tonaussetzern führen. Da sich Ziga-
rettenrauch nicht immer vermeiden läßt (z. B. in der
Discothek), muß das Gerät dann in einer Fachwerk-
statt gereinigt werden. Diese Reinigung ist kostenpf-
lichtig, auch während der Garantiezeit!

Maintenance of the Unit
Protect the unit against dust, vibrations, direct sun
radiation, humidity, and heat (permissible ambient
temperature range 0–40 °C). For the cleaning only
use a dry, soft cloth, by no means water or chemicals.
Note on sound interruptions and reading errors
Cigarette smoke easily penetrates through all open-
ings of the unit and settles on the optics of the laser
system. This deposit can cause reading errors and
sound interruptions. As cigarette smoke cannot
always be avoided (e. g. in a discothèque), the unit
must in this case be cleaned by authorized person-
nel. There is a charge on this cleaning, even during
the warranty time!
