6.2.2 PA liner
NOTICE
• New, as yet unused PA liners have to be abridged to the actual length of the cable
assembly.
• For PA liners with an outer diameter of 4.00 mm, the capillary tube in the distance
adaptor must be replaced with a guide tube.
• We recommend that you sharpen the PA liner to an angle of 40° before assembly using
the ABICOR BINZEL sharpener.

Shortening the PA liner
1 Sharpen the beginning of the PA liner (9) to approx. 40° with the ABICOR BINZEL
sharpener (10).
2 Slide PA liner (9) through the wire conduit (1) into the contact tip until a noticeable
resistance is felt.
3 Slide clamp nipple (8), O-ring (8) and nut (3) on the PA liner (9) and tighten the nut (3)
under tension.
4 Mark a PA liner (9) that is too long in front of the wire feed rollers.
5 Cut the PA liner (9) at the mark with the ABICOR BINZEL cutter (5).
6 Sharpen the cutting point.
