14 Cleaning

14.1 Cleaning the AP Belt Bag with Connecting
Cable
► Switch off the cordless product.
► Pull connecting cable plug out of the socket or the AP
adapter.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean the AP belt bag with connecting cable with a damp
cloth.
► Clean the electrical contacts of the AP belt bag with
connecting cable with a soft brush.

14.2 Cleaning the Battery

► Clean the battery with a damp cloth.

14.3 Cleaning Contacts of the Connecting Cable

► Pull connecting cable plug out of the socket or the AP
adapter.

► Clean the contacts (1) with a dry cloth.
► If the contacts are discolored (arrow):. Use a fine
sandpaper (grade P600) to remove the discoloration and
clean the contacts until they are bright.

15 Maintenance and Repairs

15.1 Servicing and Repairing the AP Battery Bag
with Connecting Cable
The AP belt bag with connecting cable requires no servicing
and cannot be repaired.
► If the belt bag or the connecting cable has a malfunction
or is damaged: Have the belt bag or the connecting cable
replaced by a STIHL servicing dealer.
