BEZEL COMPASS SCALE

By indicating the four points of the compass and the courses, this bezel fulfils several navigational functions.
1. Course memory
This function enables the pilot to "memorize" the course to be followed by placing the latter opposite the hour-
marker at 12 o'clock.
2. Indication of the opposite course
It also enables the user to instantly read off the return direction, shown opposite the course followed on the
outbound flight.
BATTERY END-OF-LIFE INDICATOR (EOL)
This watch's movement includes a battery end-of-life (EOL) warning system, signalled by the digital read-
out's flashing mode. The battery must be replaced within the next few days by an authorized B
