3. CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ
Nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de dommages matériels ou de
blessures dans le cas où cet appareil aurait été maltraité de quelque façon que ce
soit ou endommagé du fait d'une mauvaise utilisation ou d'un non respect de ce
mode d'emploi. La garantie en serait d'ailleurs annulée!
Le point d'exclamation attire l'attention sur une information importante dont il
convient de tenir compte impérativement.
Sécurité des personnes
• Lorsque vous branchez la prise dans l'allume-cigare, assurez-vous qu'elle est
solidement enfoncée. Si la prise est mal insérée, le convertisseur chauffera.
• Ce produit n'est pas un jouet et doit être tenu hors de portée des enfants!
Sécurité du produit
• Ne branchez l'appareil qu'en utilisant le câble de connexion à l'allume-cigare de 12
V ou la prise 12 V à bord du véhicule.
• Ne branchez pas la sortie de 230 V du convertisseur dans une source de 230 V
différente.
• La charge électrique devrait être éteinte avant de brancher / débrancher le
convertisseur sur la prise de l'allume-cigare.
• Débranchez toujours l'alimentation électrique quand vous travaillez sur le
convertisseur.
• Remarquez que même après que le fusible se déclenche, certaines parties du
convertisseur restent sous tension.
• Ne retirez jamais la prise de l'allume-cigare en tirant sur le câble.
• Si le câble est endommagé, il doit être remplacé pour prévenir de possibles accidents
électriques.
• En cas d'orages, débranchez l'appareil de l'allume-cigare pour éviter des dommages
dus à une tension excessive.
• Retirez le câble de connexion :
- Avant de le nettoyer et de l'entretenir.
- Après usage.
• Aucun objet ne devrait bloquer les ouvertures de ventilation situées sur le côté du
convertisseur. La circulation de l'air doit être d'un volume suffi sant car le convertisseur
est avant tout refroidi par convection.
• Si vous utilisez l'appareil dans un véhicule, assurez-vous qu'il n'affecte pas son
fonctionnement.
• Avant d'utiliser l'appareil, assurez-vous que l'alimentation en courant et que la prise
sont sèches.
• N'allumez jamais l'appareil quand vos mains sont mouillées.
• N'utilisez l'appareil que lorsque vous ou une autre personne peut le surveiller.
• N'immergez jamais l'appareil dans l'eau.
• Tenez l'appareil éloigné de l'huile, de la graisse et de toute substance infl ammable.

OPERATION

1. Plug the cigarette lighter plug to a 12V
it is functioning properly.
2. The centre pin of the cigarette lighter plug is the positive terminal, "+", and the two side clamps are
the negative terminals, "–".
3. Plug the power plug of the electrical load to the mains socket located at the end of the inverter.
Make sure the power consumption of the electrical load is lower than the admissible output
power.
4. Turn on the electrical load.
5. In the following cases the device will not function:
- Under-voltage input: Status LED will illuminate yellow.
- Over-voltage input: Status LED will fl ash in green and yellow (every 1 second)
- Overheat: Status LED will fl ash green and yellow (every 0.3 second) for 1 minute
- Overload: Status LED will fl ash green and yellow (every 1.5 second)
6. Pull the 12 V plug out of the 12 V socket if the inverter has switched itself off to protect itself. To
switch it on again, eliminate the fault and reconnect the plug.
• You can operate the inverter with the engine running or switched off. However, do not
start the engine while the inverter is switched on, since the power supply to the 12 V
socket is interrupted during ignition.
• When operating the inverter at a high load for lengthy periods, it is advisable to start the
engine in order to recharge the vehicle battery.
• If you connect the device to the cigarette lighter, remember that the ignition must be
turned on to supply it with power.
• Make sure the plug is fi rmly connected in the socket. If the connection is loose, the
plug may heat up.
• Do not operate any consumer unit connected to the device while driving the vehicle.
• Always plug in the inverter into a 12 V socket fi rst before you connect a consumer unit.
The cylindrical construction of the inverter makes it convenient to use
inside your vehicle.
Conventional car drink holders serve as an excellent storage area for the
device when it is being used.
