APPlICAtIons

The benchtop drilling machine RB 13
is designed for drilling through metal,
plastic, wood and similar materials.The
machine must not be used to process
foodstuffs or health-endangering mate-
rials.The drill chuck is designed only for
use of drills and tools with a cylindrical
shaft diameter of 1 to 13 mm. The ma-
chine is intended to be used by adults.
The machine may only be used
for the type of work specified,
and in conjunction with the mate-
rials cited. ROTWERK can accept
no liability for loss or damage
arising from any other unauthor-
ised use. Furthermore, such un-
authorised use would also void
any warranty claim.

GEnERAl sAFEty InFoRMAtIon

• This device is not suitable for use
by persons (including children) with
restricted physical, sensory or men-
tal abilities, or without experience
in and/or knowledge of the device;
unless they are supervised by, or re-
ceive training in the operation of the
device from, an individual who is re-
sponsible for their safety.
• Children must be supervised to en-
sure that they do not play with the
device.
• Never allow the device to be used by
children or other persons who are not
familiar with the operating instruc-
tions. The minimum age for the oper-
ator of the device may be determined
by local regulations.
When using power tools, the fol-
lowing fundamental safety pre-
cautions must be taken in order
to protect against electric shock
and the risk of injury or fire:

• Be aware of other people!
Never use the device if there are per-
sons or animals in the vicinity of the
device.
• wear safety goggles and ear protec­
tion!
Protect your eyes against flying parts
and chips. Wear ear protection and
safety goggles at all times during op-
eration.
• wear suitable work clothing!
Always wear safety gloves when
working with sharp-edged workpiec-
es.
Wear tight-fitting clothing. Do not
wear loose-fitting clothing or clothing
with belts or cords that hang down.
