C - Programming Venetian mode – for a shutter with hook and slats which all tilt together
C.1 - Programming the hook positions used in Venetian mode operation
Diagram of the tilting mechanism and description of programmed position

= hook on shutter
"A"
Position in which the shutter's hook is outside the mechanism but very close to its engage point; and hence below the "Click!-1" position.
Position in which the shutter's hook is inside the mechanism (you will hear a click when it engages), in a position determined by the installer between po-
"B"
sitions "E" and "Click!-2". N.B. – When using the automation, reaching position "B" allows you to activate Venetian mode and access positions "C", "D"
and "E".
"C"
Position inside the mechanism in which the slats are tilted to fully open (= maximum tilt).
Position inside the mechanism in which the slats are partly open, tilted to the desired extent. This position must be identified by the installer between
"D"
positions "C" and "E".
"E"
Position inside the mechanism in which the slats are tilted to fully closed (= no tilt).
"F"
Position in which the shutter's hook is outside the mechanism but very close to its disengage point; and hence above the "Click!-2" position.
• To run the procedure, at least one transmitter and two limit positions (UP "0" and DOWN "1") must already be memorized.
• If your shutter has a slat tilt mechanism different from that described in this table, contact the manufacturer or Nice Technical Service.
• This tilting mechanism is composed of a mandatory path or set length which the shutter's hook always completes from the bottom to the top while the shutter is
rising (fig. 1a). N.B. – When the shutter is lowering, the hook always passes outside the mechanism (fig. 1b). The mechanism (and hence the route itself) is limited
below by the engage position, at which position the system emits an audible click! (= "Click!-1" position) and at the top by the disengage position, at which point
the system emits another audible click! (= "Click!-2" position).
Outside this mechanism, the installer must identify and memorize 2 positions ("A" and "F"), while inside the mechanism, he must identify and memorize 4 positions
("B", "C", "D" and "E"). The total of 6 positions must be selected in line with the criteria listed below and memorized as explained in this paragraph.
01. Move the shutter (with the s or t key) so that its hook approaches position "A"; now stop the movement (key n) when the hook reaches this position, i.e. when
the hook is outside the mechanism but very close to the engage point (position "Click!-1").
02. Keep the n key held down and wait for the motor to complete 2 movements. Now release the key.
03. Hold down n again, and wait for the motor to complete 4 movements. Now release the key.
04. Hold down s and n together, and wait for the motor to complete 2 movements. Now release the keys.
(from now on, the motor will only make very small movements)
05. Press key s (or t) repeatedly until the shutter's hook is in position "B". The position must be inside the tilt mechanism path, between "E" and "Click!-2". Now
hold down the n key and wait for the motor to complete 2 movements. Then release the key (= position memorized).
06. Press t (or s) repeatedly to move the shutter's hook to the exact position at which the slats are fully open (= position "C"). Now hold down the n key and
wait for the motor to complete 2 movements. Then release the key (= position memorized).
07. Press t (or s) repeatedly to move the shutter's hook to the exact position at which the slats are fully open (= position "D"). Now hold down the n key and
wait for the motor to complete 2 movements. Then release the key (= position memorized).
08. Press s (or t) repeatedly to move the shutter's hook to position "E", i.e. the exact point at which the slats are fully closed. Now hold down the n key and wait
for the motor to complete 2 movements. Then release the key (= position memorized).
09. Press s repeatedly until the shutter's hook is at position "F", i.e. just beyond the tilt mechanism disengage point. Now hold down the n key and wait for the mo-
tor to complete 2 movements. Then release the key (= position memorized).
