Salt
1) The salt and rinse aid indicator lights never come on while a washing programme is running even if
filling with salt and/or rinse aid is necessary.
The digital display
The digital display indicates:
• the level of hardness to which the water
softener is set,
• the number corresponding to the washing
programme,
• the approximate remaining time of the run-
ning programme,
• activation/deactivation of the rinse aid dis-
penser ( ONLY with "Multitab function ac-
tive"),
• the end of a washing programme (a zero
will appear in the digital display),
• the countdown for the delay start,
• fault codes concerning malfunction of the
dishwasher,
• activation/deactivation of the audible sig-
nals.
Half load button
This option is useful and economical when
baskets are not fully loaded. It reduces the
consumption of water and energy.
Load both baskets.
When using this option reduce the dose of
detergent that is normally used for a com-
plete load.
Sanitize button
This option gives a greater degree of hygiene
to dishes and glasses.
During the last rinse, the temperature will in-
crease to 68°C and be held at over 65°C for
at least 10 minutes.
Extra rinse button
With this option you can add another cold
rinse before the last hot rinsing phase.
Indicator lights
Comes on when the drying phase is running.
Comes on when a washing programme has
ended.
Comes on when the rinse aid has run out.
Comes on when the special salt has run out.
This will increase the consumption of water
and prolong the duration of the programme.
The duration of the washing programme will
be automatically updated in the digital dis-
play.
These options cannot be selected with
all programmes (see 'Washing pro-
grammes' chart).
Function buttons (A, B and C)
The following functions can be set using
these buttons:
• setting the water softener level,
• cancelling a washing programme or a de-
lay start in progress,
• activation/deactivation of the rinse aid dis-
penser when Multitab function is active,
• activation/deactivation of the audible sig-
nals.
Setting mode
Press the On/Off button, if the programme
selection button light comes on and 2 hori-
zontal bars appear in the digital display, the
appliance is in setting mode.
Always remember that when performing
the following operations:
– selecting a washing programme,
– setting the water softener level,
– activating/deactivating the rinse aid,
– activating/deactivating the audible
signals,
the appliance MUST be in setting mode.
Press the On/Off button, if the programme
selection button light comes on and the
washing programme duration (in minutes)
appears in the digital display, the last per-
electrolux 83
