Bij het afsluiten van het toestel blijft er mogelijks nog wat gas achter in de verlengbuis en kan de vlam nog eventjes nabranden. Końcówka urządzenia powinna być skierowana w dół (maks. 45°), z dala od osób lub zwierząt.
