Close the shutoff valve downline

DANGER
The pump must never be operated with the shutoff valve on the delivery side closed. The discharge valve
must be opened as soon as the pump has been started up, to prevent damage to the latter by an excessive
increase in liquid temperature.

Ensure that the pipeline downline

The check valve in Figure 3 serves to prevent emptying of the pump under a siphon effect at the time of shutdown,
so that liquid stays in the pump body for subsequent start-up.

If there is no foot valve or check valve on the suction port, filling must be repeated before each start-up.

If the pump has difficulty in increasing pressure, repeat operations 1 to 11. If, after several attempts, the
pump does not operate correctly, see the fault section "quick troubleshooting guide"

Operation with frequency converter
If the pump is connected to a frequency converter during start-up, the pump should run at maximum speed. If the
pump does not prime within 5 minutes, stop the motor and repeat steps 1 to 11.
Loosen the filler cap to enable
