User instructions Tunnel Vision Grand CV Lightweight Cotton
Important
Please set up your tent prior to your first trip to ensure you are familiar with set up and the tent is in proper condition.
Always choose a site with good drainage.
Inspect the site and remove any sharp or protruding objects that could damage the tent floor.
Set Up
1-
Unroll the tent, positioning the black floor to the ground.
2-
Assemble the 3 poles. Be sure that the inserts are fully connected.
3-
Slide the shorter pole through the rear pole sleeve. Repeat using the longer poles in the other sleeves.
4-
The tent is now flat with the 3 poles in their sleeves. Working on one side of the tent fit the pole tips into the
grommets. Move to the opposite side, flex poles and insert pole tips into grommets forming hoop sections.
5-
The tent is still flat but all three hoops now assembled. Find the stake out locations at one end of the tent. Stake
down locations through the rings provided or through web loops.
6-
Lift the tent hoops and stretch them apart. Loosely stake the tent at the opposite end.
7-
The tent is now up. Starting from the secured end stretch out the tent and secure the tent with a stake at each
pole location if windy. Continue stretching the tent all the way to the opposite end where stakes were loosely
staked. Now secure stakes firmly.
8-
In windy conditions you can stake out the attached guy lines.
9-
The inner tent doesn't have to be disconnected from the fly sheet when you take down the tent.
Tips
•
Your Eureka! Light Weight Cotton fly has been impregnated with Teflon® Fabric Protector. Cotton fabric swells if it
gets wet and seals up in that way. However your tent has to be prone to rain at least three times before it gives the
maximum protection.
•
The suns UV rays can be harmful even with technical advances in fabrics. Prolonged exposure could result in
fading and possibly fabric disintegration. When choosing a site try to pitch the tent in a shaded area. Do not leave
a tent up longer than necessary.
•
Fuels can damage tents as can DEET found in many insect repellents.
•
Avoid storing your tent in a hot location.
•
We recommend the use of a thin groundsheet or floorsaver with any tent for added protection from abrasion. The
floorsaver should be about 10cm. (4 inches) from the tent edge to avoid the possibility of channeling water
beneath the tent.
•
Please be sure to store your tent dry. Mildew can occur on waterproof coatings if stored when wet.
