The crown I has two positions:
1. Neutral position
(manual winding)
2. Time-setting position

Starting the watch
Crown I in position 1. This position
enables manual winding of the self-
winding movement, meaning winding
by rotating the crown upwards ( ).
When starting the watch, wind the
crown at least 70 revolutions to ensure
optimum functioning of the watch and
sonnerie. Thereafter, the watch is
wound automatically when worn on
the wrist. If it is not worn, the sonner-
ie will stop 12 hours after a full wind-
ing and the watch after 50 hours. If the
striking mechanism is de-activated, the
watch will stop after 70 hours.

Setting the time
We recommend deactivating the son-
nerie before setting the time. Pull the
crown I out to position 2. Turn the
crown upwards ( ) to move the
hands forward and set the watch to
the desired time. For accurate time-
setting, ensure that the last operation
was made in a clockwise direction.
Then push the crown I back to posi-
tion 1. After this operation, rotate the
crown downwards ( ) to make sure

it turns freely.
