11. Curfew Mode
Curfew mode allows you to set a lock and unlock time for the
giving your pet access to the outdoors during a set period of the day (for example unlocking
in the morning and locking at night). In order to set the times follow the steps below. At the
selected lock time the pet door will be set to "in only", meaning the cat is still able to enter the
house after the lock time but can not leave again.
1. Set the current time - In order to use curfew mode you must first set the current time. To
do this press and hold the current time button (
the time on the LCD screen will flash. To change the time press (
hold for faster increments. Once you reach the correct time release the button for a couple of
seconds and the unit will store the time and stop flashing.
2. Set the lock time - Repeat the process of setting the time as above, this time pressing the
lock time button (

4. Activate curfew mode - To activate curfew mode press the locking mode button (
until the current time is displayed on the LCD screen (as shown in figure 39).
To subsequently deactivate curfew mode, press the locking time button (
current time should disappear from the LCD screen.
You can view the lock/unlock times that have been set on the LCD screen by pressing the
relevant timer button once. You only need to set the time once (unless of course it requires
changing e.g. daylight saving time), the pet door will remember the time whether you are
using curfew mode or not. However the pet door will not remember the time if the batteries are
changed or run out, in this case you will need to reset the time.
If in the rare instance you need to keep your pets out at certain times (e.g. to prevent them from
bringing prey into the house at night) you can select custom mode 6 (see section 14).
