5. Charging the battery

The battery is built into the appliance. To charge
the battery, connect the plug on the power cord
to the power connection on the appliance and the
mains plug into the wall socket.
Use only the power cable supplied with the appli-
ance.
While the appliance is connected to the mains and
the battery is being charged, the charging light
lights up red.
Once the appliance is fully charged, the charging
light flashes green and the shaver stops drawing
power. The appliance can remain safely connected
to the mains. Disconnect from the mains, however,
to prevent any unnecessary power consumption.
5.1. Charging the battery before
fi rst use
To obtain the optimal battery charge, the battery
should be charged for 75 minutes before first use.
5.2. Charging the battery
The battery recharge time is 75 minutes. Always
charge the battery once the shaving performance
starts to become noticeably weaker. The red charg-
ing light starts to flash before the shaver switches
off automatically.
