Caller number display (CLIP
If this function is available with your telephone line, the number of
the caller appears in the display when the phone rings. If the caller
has suppressed transmission of his phone number, the correspon-
ding message appears in the display. The phone number is not dis-
played and, as a result, is not stored in the calls log.
Answering machine in the telephone network
An answering machine in the telephone network is a supplementary
service offered by many telephone network providers. If your tele-
phone network provider has an answering machine available for
you in the telephone network, an envelope icon appears in the dis-
play when new messages have been recorded on it for you

(VMWI ). This function can only be used when your telephone net-
work provider actually offers the service. Contact your network pro-
vider for further information.
